Pearl Jams Black - The Abortion.

“Kanta” the nurse looked up from her clipboard at the waiting chairs, she was seated there.“Yes,” she stood up.“I am sujata ...come...Dr.Jayant will see you shortly.”.She was now seated in a small room with a big machine that had a bed attached with a screen. She was calm but the horror in her eyes was there to see, if anyone cared to look at it.Soon the door opened and a chubby man entered, wearing a green coat with white pants, bearing the nametag ‘Dr. Jayant Dhule’.“No,No.Don’t get up...remain seated".He stepped forward and shook Kanta’s hand.“What can I do for you today, Kanta?”."The Asian Hospital charges too much for an abortion, so I was hoping you could help me." Kanta said in One breath.Dr. Jayant Dhule continues, "Well, it has always been about money for them, I will help you, and you’ll have to sign a few papers. Always have to do the paperwork, you know,” He smiled; Kanta's face  was expressionless as she nodded in return breathed deeply and said“Sure, I know about paperwork."

Dr. Jayant Dhule nodded as well, and turned on the computer that occupied the center of his desk."Have you got your previous ultrasound reports?” Dr. Jayant Dhule typed briefly .“May I know the reason for the abortion? silence slumbered.Dr Jayant looked at the reports and kept typing on the computer. About fifteen minutes later,he pressed the ‘print’ button, and a few neatly typed sheets of paper slid out of the printer."You sign here, saying that you are requesting this procedure of your own free will, and here,  for your wishes for disposition of the body,”.“Then press your right thumb in the square at the bottom of each page. The fingerprint assures anyone asking that it is indeed you who signed, not some stranger.” Kanta did as she was directed, then looked up.“When can you do it?” she asked. “Why, right away,” Dr. Jayant Dhule assured her.“Do you want to wait? We can do it any time you want.”.“No, the sooner the better. I just had a breakup. No one will accept me with a baby.”

“Sujata," Dr Jayant Dhule called for the nurse.“Please prepare Kanta for the procedure, alert Dr. Rohit Shetty for the anaesthesia, then see to the filing of these papers. Have to keep all the paperwork legal, you know.” The nurse nodded and beckoned Kanta out of the room. "Take off your clothes, put this on and have a seat on the end of the table there. Doctor Rohit Shetty will be here in just a moment.” Kanta looked at the hospital gown for a while, undressed, dressed in the gown, lay down, still expressionless. Dr. Jayant Dhule entered, leaned back in his chair, smiled, saw the paperwork and started the procedure.Within a few hours someone lost a life and someone supposedly got a new life .

Little Red Riding Hood - Revisited

Mr Bhediya was Very Hungry
He did not had even a single rupee

He wanted to break free
And have a decent meal..

He went and knocked on Grandma's door.
She cried as bhediya thrust her on the floor

He ate her up in a single bite.
I was still out of his sight

But Gramdma was too thin and rough
He was still hungry and she was not enough

I went to her house wearing my Red hood
Crossing the river through the wood

Mr Bhediya dressed himself in grandma dress
combed his hair and gelled his tress

As I entered I called my Granny
He greeted me, but it was uncanny

I had read my poems in childhood
I took the gun from my hood

I shot Mr Bhediya in his head
He fell on the floor, his blood so Red

I took my grandma from his belly
No one messes up with this girl from Delhi!

My Toys !

Dear Dairy , The Day has come , finally its Independence day , Its the day I have been waiting from past 21 years ,My story still remains at the edges of awareness for people, and it is so associated with me that many people think that it must be something that I talk about all the time to everyone who will listen, but I actually try not to discuss it personally very often. I am asked about it, But I make sure not to tell anyone how I ended up here.

The other day I hurt myself really badly. Lying in bed this morning I couldn't breathe, my heart was heavy and it continued to pulsate against my chest so that every beat hurt my insides. Tears sprung up in my eyes and suddenly I thought.I'm going to die.But as soon as the news came that due to my good and sane behavior I was exited to say the least.I have waited for this news day in and day out.All through the long dark nights which have been sleepless and the long hot days here.
I know that I didn't get cut or bruised and I didn't break any bones. It wasn't a heart attack or a panic attack or any kind of medical condition that could be fixed with a trip to the hospital. This kind of hurt can't be fixed up with a Band-Aid.But it was no closer to the pain I felt when they did the crime ,they played for years till I realized that was not right.I killed that bastard.
That pain is still there I have kept my wounds open so that I remember I have to kill another bastard ,sitting at my desk now and thinking upon it, I've realized the pain isn't going away. My heart feels heavy and I can feel every sluggish beat against my chest. Sometimes I forget to breathe. Today I haven't had anything to drink and only when my stomach was in severe pain did I even remember I should have eaten.Just now I had water melon ,This color reminds me of the blood I drank that night when I killed that bastard.
But I know . I've felt this before in my life, several times. This is a pain I am familiar with. At this point, we are close friends. I understand this pain, and it comes to visit me every now and then.Hello Pain, I can't say I've missed you but it's nice to have a companion. To which Pain replies with a long bout of heavy silence. This silence often slumbers in the futile sleep.
I was institutionalized here 21 years ago , I still remember they said I was Just a kind , I did this because I was not mentally stable , I remember I was shouting , screaming at the bastard who was just trying to calm me , I was sure I will get back to him and take my revenge as I did with his friend , he has to pay for his crimes as well.Perhaps in my past when I was younger and had very little self confidence, I would have been happy just to have been alone because I knew When I was in their company they would play with their favorite toys which were small for their age but they would still play with them and would scare me to death If I disclosed that to anyone.I never wanted them to play with the toys they loved so I started staying alone.
I remember when that bastard come to me that night I was ready as soon as he touched the toy I killed him , I killed him with the knife I had.I stabbed him to the time my hand started paining.I was caught.I still remember I was screaming , I screamed all the time.Every bit of pain you suffer through makes you stronger. Perhaps it leaves you scars, but you must treat those as battle scars and trophies. Never ever let anyone tell you that you are worthless. I know that eventually my pain will heal and I will be a stronger woman because of it.I will be released tomorrow. I know I have a task at hand-to kill the other bastard who used to play with the toys .Their Toys - My breasts.!

Shells and Pebbles

Shells and Pebbles

Jayant was a cool guy, a typical Punjabi guy fresh out from the farms of Punjab into this magical, ever so romantic place called Infosys Mysore. It was January when he joined Infosys through off campus recruitment that happened in Delhi. He was so happy to get a job in his dream company. Jayant was a happy go lucky kind of guy, who would do anything for his friends but here he was, all alone, as all of his friends had been recruited on campus and were working somewhere else, so he was all alone here but happily single as well.

One fine day, he went in to Global Education Center (GEC) and, where he was usually late in getting to GEC, today he arrived early. It was 8:30 in the morning and he could see only one girl other than him in the class. He quietly takes his seats and starts the system. After a few seconds he could hear someone crying and alas, as he looks towards her, he confirms that she was the one who was crying. Now Jayant was a strong guy, there was no doubt that he had many lady friends but to console someone who is crying was not something he knew how to do. He was just sitting there, looking at her and wondering what to do and realizing that was all that he was doing, but even though he could not help, he also could not just do nothing. Feeling guilty was just a part of it because he was also unable to approach her. Then, when after 5 minutes he decides to talk to her, he had waited too long as someone else enters the class and… ...silence... it is her friend, so he stops again and now he can see Deepti consoling Amrita

Amrita and Deepti were great friends as well as roommates from the very first day at Mysore. Jayant had a secret crush on Deepti but had never been able to tell to her. Deepti used to sit right in front of Jayant so they used to talk a lot about studies and all and Jayant liked her a lot.

It was a Sunday morning when Jayant went in to GEC to study for the generic compri ,when he faced the same situation. Again it was Amrita who was crying, but this time Jayant goes to Amrita and asks: "What happened Amrita, is everything all right"...she tearfully replied that she was ok and he need not bother about it. Jayant asks her again and again until eventually she tells him that she already has a very low CGPA and if she does not get a B+ , she will be out of Infosys. Now, even though Jayant was good with studies, he was also facing a tough time. It was three days to go before compri and they decided to study together all night for these three days. This made a huge turnaround as Deepti also joined them and so Jayant could talk to her even more and more.

On compri day they all had breakfast together and went for the examination. After the exam they all were happy but afraid of the result too. They all knew they had been allotted the same stream as java and that was not easy either.

After a few days Deepti, Jayant and Amrita were like buddies and spent most of their time together. One weekend Amrita calls Jayant and says that she would like to go out and have fun, before the result is announced, as her boyfriend Shiva would be joining her that weekend. Shiva used to work for LNT, which was near Infosys Mysore. So they all decided to go to Wonderla – a water park near Bangalore. They had lots of fun there and enjoyed lots of rides. Jayant was happy as he was enjoying it with Deepti because Amrita was busy with Shiva. Jayant wanted to express his love to Deepti but the right opportunity had not come along. So he calls up his best friend Vipin who knew everything about him , and asks him whether it was the right time to propose to Deepti as they were alone there. Vipin told him to “Go ahead dear!! What are you waiting for?” After all the rides were done, Amrita and Shiva were getting very close in the cab, which was in the parking lot, so Jayant and Deepti decided to take a walk. Jayant decides the time has come and asks Deepti: "Are you single? You never told me." Deepti smiles and says "arrey yaar yes I am."' Jayant takes one step forward, holds Deepti's hand and just says, simply "Deepti I love you"…"come on stop it Jayant"..."stop joking yaar "...."No Deepti. I am serious. I really love you a lot...from the very first day...from the very first moment I saw you, I have fallen in love with you..." ...."are u really serious jayant"..."yes I am "...."I cannot tell you how much I love you and I want to marry you Deepti""..."things are not so easy Jayant, as they might look to be" and then Silence slumbered in its futile sleep...

II

And that was it. They all returned that night, and Jayant and Deepti were both expectedly quite. Much later that night Jayant called Deepti on her hostel extension at 12 midnight and told her to meet him just outside FC3. She agreed, arriving at 1am in the morning. Then Jayant started again. “Come-on Deepti, please don’t keep quiet!! Say something , I know you love me , I have seen it in your eyes, please even if it’s a NO, just tell me“…”Please Jayant, my life is already so complex, please don’t make it more complex. We are very good friends, let us be friends only.” Deepti replied in a sad tone and started crying. Jayant bent down on his knees, held her hands and just said “Tell me what it is Deepti, just tell me everything, I love you and it will surely help, I promise to relieve your tensions and believe me I love you, just trust me darling, I love you,” and then he kissed Deepti's hand.

“Look , I had a boyfriend NITIN during my time at college, he was my senior and we were very close. After finishing his college, NITIN joined WIPRO, Pune and she was in tears again. Jayant just hugged her, saying “Just tell me baby, what happened did he change a lot after that?”…”He is no more mine, he has found someone else for himself, our families knew everything about our relationship and they had no problem with us getting married, we were neighbors at Pune. We shared the same school as well, I have never imagined my life without him. But he threw me out of his life in just 6 months after joining Wipro.

...and then she went on describing how beautiful the days had been that she had with NITIN. It was 3am when she suddenly stopped and said “Look, my life has been terrible since NITIN left and I do not want anyone else to do the same so, please Jayant let’s be JUST friends, my mother will find a nice Marathi guy for me and I will get married to him, I do not want any more complications in my life Jayant…Please understand Jayant” and she was in tears once again. Jayant was shocked to hear the whole story and he said: “Look Deepti, I love you and that’s enough for me, I don’t care about your past but I can promise you that I will keep on loving you until my last breath. Please Deepti, don’t worry about anything else ,I will take care of everything dear. I will love you a lot but tell me, why did you both break off after a long close relationship?”

“I don’t know Jayant, he found someone as soon as he got into WIPRO. Whenever I used to call him he would say ‘Listen, I have some work to do’ and he always gave excuses. Then slowly he stopped attending my calls, not answering my messages and mails. I was an emotional fool who would wait for days for his replies. Four months ago I called him and asked: ‘... why are you doing this to me? Please tell me , I at least deserve an answer...please’. His reply: ‘Ok… I’ll tell you the truth today, I am going around with someone else here and I do not see any future for our relationship,’ and that was when I decided not to call him again. It has been four months and I have not yet forgotten him, I burst into tears even now when I think of him.” Jayant, without hesitation, replied: “Don’t worry Deepti, I will love you so much that you will forget him. Deepti do you accept my love, just say you love me…please say it…I will always keep you happy.”

It was 6am in the morning outside FC, when Deepti said: “Can you tell me, Jayant, why should I love you after just four months of breaking off with NITIN , why should I get involved in a relationship when I already have a terrible past , why should I get into all this again, I have been hurt a lot and I don’t want to get hurt again, and I know I cannot love anyone else again.” “What are you saying Deepti, just trust me.” “Look Jayant, I need some time“...They talked till 7:30am outside FC when they suddenly realized that it was time to go and get ready for the class.
One month passed by and Amrita got to know about the feelings Jayant had for Deepti. Jayant and Amrita shared everything about their love life, whenever they had time .And suddenly they had the COMPRI result out and ALAS, Amrita flunked whereas Deepti and Jayant passed with A grades. That same day she received a letter from HR telling her to leave Infosys within two days. This was the most terrible day in their life. Anyway, they sat together and decided to stay in touch with each other .On Amrita’s last day at Infosys Mysore they decided to go out for dinner. On their return a romantic drizzle was falling and Amrita and Shiva were engaged in their love talks while on their  walk back to the campus from the nearby dhabaa. Jayant and Deepti were also joking and were talking about their time spent together...

BAM....whoops...accident! A speeding bike knocked Deepti, who was walking on the wrong side of the road. The biker and Deepti were both dadly injured and were rushed to Apollo hospital. The biker had to have some stitches in his head and Deepti’s left leg was fractured. It was 1:00am when Amrita had to leave the hospital as she was to leave for KOLKATTA that morning and there was a tearfull farewell from Jayant and Deepti. Deepti was discharged from hospital the next day with crutches for one whole week.

It was a very difficult time for Deepti as she had to manage both her studies and her health. The whole class could see Jayant helping Deepti to walk, eat, study and do everything he could to help her. This made them very close and yes it was love but was never put into words by Deepti. Both finished the training and it was the day when the posting was to come. This was a tough day for both of them as Jayant got a posting at Bangalore and Deepti at Pune, they wanted to be together but it did not happen. Anyway, they had to part ways from Mysore and go to their respective posting stations. It was Jayant who was to go first to Bangalore and at reception it was a lip lock between Deepti and Jayant, which was to end soon as they parted their ways.

Jayant was doing well at Bangalore , and Deepti was very happy at her hometown Pune. They both purchased Tata indicom mobile’s to chat for a long time. They used to talk day and night .One fine day Jayant calls Deepti and says: “I have one news for you”, and Deepti also said the same thing. “Ok Jayant, you first, tell me what happened.” “Deepti I got the SPOT award.” “Ayah baby, I am so happy for you, you deserve it my hero.” “Now tell me what you have got for me Deepti.” “Jayant, I met NITIN today...”and then Silence slumbered in its futile sleep..............
III

“What the hell are you saying, how can you meet him ,have you forgotten all the pain he has caused you?” “…don’t be so mean Jayant, I loved him, anyway we met today at some restaurant…” “…oh, does that mean that the meeting was preplanned !!!!!!!!!!! and you did not even tell me anything!: “Yes, after coming here to Pune I called him once and from there the mails started, we never again talked on the phone but yes we mailed each other a lot “Now that is disgusting Deepti .” “Don’t worry Jayant I am not going back to him.”

Then there came a point in time when every other day Deepti was telling Jayant that she had met with Nitin. This used to upset Jayant a lot but he knew his love was true and nobody could take Deepti away from him. Suddenly one day he got an email from his DM that he has to go ONSITE. That was a great achievement and he was very happy. He had to leave within 15 days. He told Deepti and both were very happy, he also told Deepti that before leaving he wanted to meet her and would be coming to PUNE as he would be ONSITE for the next year.

It had been raining for more than a week, so much rain that it made every day seem restless and gloomy. She called and said she was coming up. They planned to meet at the railway station in the morning as in the evening he would leave for Chandigarh from the station to meet his parents. She arrived and was looking ever so beautiful, carrying her red umbrella. Her friend had dropped her off. It was raining and she was shivering. She looked weak and fragile in the harsh rain, not wearing enough to keep her warm. He hugged her and they went to the nearby cafe, Jayant was all excited and he was the only one who was talking. Deepti was just filling up with some words and they did not realize how fast the time passed. At 5pm Jayant left Deepti at the station as he boarded JHELUM EXPRESS and as soon as he got into the train he called her up and said: “Babes, I love you ,I guess you wanted to say something but you did not, tell me what was it.”

“Nothing Jayant, it’s just that I will miss you a lot!!!!” “And who was that who dropped you at the station?” “NITIN, NITIN came here to drop me, I have called him to pick me up as well, you don’t worry dear, I am fine.” “...Ok Deepti, take care, I’ll call you soon.”.
Time passed by and Jayant completed six months at ONSITE and obviously the calls and emails frequency with Deepti was at its lowest as he was too busy with work. But they were in contact and as soon as he completed the year, he came back and landed at Chandigarh to meet his parents first. Jayant’s dad was very excited and happy but as he was an Ex-Army man he never showed his love to a great extent. It was the night before Jayant had to leave for Bangalore when his dad asked: “Jayant, as you already know, we all want you to get married.” “So, ya , dad I know.” “If you have someone in mind, tell us, or else we will find someone ourselves,” he laughs. “Dad!” “Hey son, don’t be shy, just tell me if there is someone.” “Yeah Dad, I love someone and I am not sure if she loves me or not but…” Dad interrupts, “Hmm, now you have a love story as well. So, what’s cooking han? Don’t tell me you are going to bring a FIRANGEE* in our house.” “Nah dad , she’s a colleague, and I love her and I want to marry her.” “Well, then express your love and I have no restrictions on whatever you find for yourself.” They hugged each other and .Jayant left the next morning.

As soon as he landed at Bangalore he called Deepti and said: “Hey babes, I am coming to Pune to meet you next weekend  I can’t resist anymore! I missed you a lot.”...”Hey, Jayant, it would not be possible next weekend for me to meet you, I am a little busy.” “WHAT? Deepti, come on, what’s so urgent.” “Look Jayant, things are not the same, I am too busy with work here.” “Come on Deepti , I am coming next week…and that’s it!” “Look Jayant, I don’t want to meet you, I don’t love you, please don’t run after me Jayant.” “…what are you saying Deepti! is NITIN back in your life? Just tell me…Please, tell me.” “NO Jayant, he is a friend of mine now, but please forget me Jayant. I wanted to tell you long back that I don’t want to see you anymore.” “No Deepti, please don’t do this, listen, I want to meet you, I know you love me and I am coming to meet you. No one can stop me...Deepti, I am coming to PUNE this Saturday...okay?” “Jayant please don’t come.” “I am coming and you are coming to meet me that’s IT!” Deepti disconnected the call.

Jayant did not call her the whole week but kept on texting her on the phone and got the same reply and same answer the whole week. As soon as he landed at Pune he called Deepti and said: “Babes, I am at the station. Just come and meet me, I am waiting at the same café and I’m dying to meet you.” “Ok, I will be there in an hour.”

But that one hour never ended, Jayant called Deepti’s number several times but she did not pick up the call. Jayant was very tense and decided to go to Deepti’s home but did not know the address. He had NITIN’s number though. He called NITIN and said: “Hey Nitin, this is Jayant, Deepti’s friend. I have come here to meet her, but she is not picking up the phone, do you know where she is?” “OH, Jayant!. Where are you?” “I am at the station.” “I will come and pick you up in 15 minutes.” “…but where is Deepti?” “I will tell you…”

Nitin came and took Jayant to a nearby hospital where Deepti had been admitted. Jayant rushed into the room and hugged Deepti and cried: “Tell me what happened Deepti, they were all in tears when Deepti broke the silence and said: “…18 months ago, the doctor said I had cancer, but it was found early, so it was still curable. Thinking that it was okay, I started living my normal life again, and even forgot about the cancer. I didn't think about it again and did not go back to the doctor. Until a month ago... My stomach was hurting for two weeks straight, and the nightmare awakened me again. First I thought the pain would go away, but it grew stronger until it reached a point that I couldn't take it anymore. I went back to the doctor and he took an X-ray.

The picture came out and there was a big black spot, which proved the truth that I did not want to believe. I was at the most glittering part of my life, but it was coming to an end. I wanted myself and the people around me to go through the least pain possible, so I decided to commit suicide. But I couldn't let people find out about my intentions, especially you, the person I love the most in this whole world, who still doesn't know about the truth.

“So I made up some stories and lied to you. It was a cruel thing to do, and it broke your heart, but it was the fastest way to wipe out three years of feelings. I didn't have much time, because I would soon start to lose hair and you would find out eventually. But now I'm close to succeeding, this drama will soon be over. Thirty minutes more and all this will come to an end, that was what I had in mind. and then…Silence slumbered in its futile sleep...

Deepti passed away the same day. Jayant was married through an arrangement the same year as did Nitin.

The Fool's Interview

Ladies and Gentlemen , I present to you "The Fool"

The Fool

The Fool

blogs from Bangalore

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself? your blog , and your aspirations and your hobbies !!
My blog is a potpourri of sorts – no specific niche or theme. I write almost anything there – fiction, poetry, satire, analysis of current events, philosophy, personal experiences, reviews of books, movies and blogs. Aspiration is to become a bestselling author of course. Other blogging, I try to read whenever I can pull out time. The concept of spare time does not exist in my life.

2. How you first got involved in with blogging , are you an imaginative person?
Seeing my voracious reading, lot of my friends kept suggesting I write as well. So finally one fine day I started a blog. The idea was to do analysis of nation and politics. But the blog had other ideas of its own and it is currently anything but that. Whether I am an imaginative person, reader has to read my post and tell.

3. What do you find most challenging about blogging about your topic?
Well the challenge comes when you are writing on a specific pre decided topic. But I first get ideas and then put them on bits and bytes. If I don’t have ideas, I don’t write. Simple! When I was writing on limited topics in the initial days, I was hardly having any ideas to write. But now with my expanded scope, I have no issues.

4. Tell me about some of the people you have met while working on your blog?
I have met lot of people in these 4 years. It will be extremely difficult to list all of them. If I randomly mention a few, I fear I might leave out a few. Don’t know if people see these things. But I do check if people are mentioning my name and don’t feel too good about being left out. And it would be dishonest to mention only the names of folks who I know will be reading your blog.

5. How would (someone) describe your blogging style?
If you want to know how someone would describe my blogging style, you have to ask someone.

6. What do you do when you are not working on your blog?
Work, what else? Wish I could say I go adventuring on the Everest or travel the country side on a motorbike. But truth is work is what takes up a large part of our lifetime. Even finding time to blog is a luxury.

7 .Where do you see yourself blogging wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?
I look to be doing more guest posts on niche blogs. With the wide scope of topics I cover and limited time I have for promotions, I don’t see the blog growing great guns. So I need to gain visibility on other blogs. 5 years – hope I keep at it. 10 -15 years if you ask, I want to be bestselling author with the blog becoming a publicity vehicle to communicate with my fans.

8. What networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging business?
Most of my initial traffic came from a site called pagalguy.com where I give advice to MBA aspirants. Then I made some blogger friends through Blog-a-Ton and Café Ginger Chai. Recently I have made more friends on Indi – mostly through chat and a little bit through Indivine.

9. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.
I think I answered this in the challenge question. I just randomly write whatever comes to my mind. I don’t write for the sake of writing. Ideas get formed and get themselves written through me. Maybe contest topic or prompts serve as catalyst at times.

10. Whats your strategy with your blog in general?
I mean the point is strategies never work. You need to keep changing tactics on the run. I started as a political commentator. Then I thought of focusing on humor in day to day life.  Then move to reviews, then fiction, then poetry and now thinking of travel blogging. So it is a kind of journey where you don’t know where you are heading.

11. Any specific tips you have for newbee bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?
Write. Write. Write. Don’t care about anything. Write about anything and everything. Give yourself a free reign and experiment. Take a journey of self-discovery to find out where your passion lies and what you write best. All other things come later.

12. What would you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?
Obviously it is Content->Readers->TrafficàSEO. That is the only way it has to be.

13. Whats the best thing a blogger can give to his readers?
A few moments of forgetfulness from the rigors of life and possibly a few fresh crumbs for thought.

14. A lot of people are interested in blogging for the money earning potential. What are some tips for people interesting in making money from blogging? What are some realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?
I don’t know and never bothered to find out. For me it is just a passion. I just do it for the love of it. But yeah, one day I hope I can make a living as a writer so that I can devote more time to it.

15. What motivates you most in life?
The lure of greatness.

16. What has been your strategy for creating visibility to yourself and your blog?
Visibility on Indiblogger, FB fan page, twitter synch, blogadda synch, writeup café, blogjunta

17 What was the most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?
NOT ANSWERED !

18. Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?
Favorite post is the poem ‘The Fool’ and of course the singer series (Most of them are down now as I am converting them into a novel). Least favorite ‘The Mayan series’ (They just refused to take off as I expected)

19. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
My first inspiration was a blog called ‘The compulsive confessor’. I came across her blog through an interview on rediff and somehow reading her blog inspired me to write my famous bride hunt series. Then reading 2 bloggers Karthik and Vibuthi inspired me to take up fiction writing. Leo and SIS are 2 bloggers whose enthusiasm inspired me to do prompts and keep writing more frequently.

20. What is the story behind the name of the blog.
It is a long story. There is a post on this in my blog. Here is the link.

21. your connection with Indi and the experience ?
I have been with Indi 3.5 years. But I started putting posts on Indivine only from last one year. I started contests 6 months back and I already have done a record 13 contests and 31 entries. I have started feeling more connected to Indi last 3-4 months after I became active on forums and Indi chat and making friends.

22.Which genre do you feel gets the raw deal?
Proper fiction. I am still not sure if blog is the right platform for fiction. People don’t show a blog post the patience they show towards novels.

23.Which one plugin would you suggest all bloggers to have?
Random post widget.

24.Five adjectives that describe you.
I do not like to use adjectives for myself. I believe one should have an objective view of oneself and adjectives are very subjective.

25.What book would you say has made the biggest impact  good or bad on you?
My check book – both positive and negative depending on the bank balance at that time.

26.Do you get easily provoked by positive/negative comments ??
Very much dependent on my mood at the point I am receiving the comment.

27.Your views on erotic writers ?
Actually I do not have a view on them. Sometimes it is best not to have views on every topic in the world. Makes life much easier that way.

28.Are you a judgmental person , Do you prefer to take sides instead of standing neutral ?
Not really. I try not to judge people. And usually I prefer neutrality. However in my interaction with you, I may have given you reasons to believe otherwise.

29. Your collaboration with Captain for SIP , tell us everything about it ?
Well, his blog is supposed to be one place for readers to find free stories to read. We hope to rope in more writers as we go. My participation depends a lot on my work schedule and my mood swings.

30.What genre attracts you the most and which genre you avoid ?
Fiction attracts me most and tech blogging, product reviews and preachy posts are something I like to avoid.

31.Your Views on Contests and increasing plagiarism ?
Contests kind of help you hone your creativity by restricting you severely and forcing you to find ideas where there are none. Results can be a bit erratic and can be really demoralizing at times. But then everything has its pluses and minuses. Which is the case with the next issue as well – plagiarism. Copying an entire piece verbatim is bad. But copying ideas – I am not sure. Whole human civilization was built on building upon another’s ideas. If we build walls and patents and start fiercely guarding ideas, innovation will come to a standstill. That is what multinational corporates are trying to do.

32.Words for me and my blog .?
I like your enthusiasm. This interview idea was very innovative. This will bring lot of people to your blog. I liked couple of your other posts. Just follow your heart and you will go places. Specific things depend too much on taste of individuals. So I advise you not to take too much advice on that. Your heart will tell you the right things. Just see what other people do on their blogs. Bring whatever appeals to you over to your blog.

Wow , What an awesome interview , perfect finish for this season of interviews , Thanks TF for such a candid interview , it has been really great interviewing you  :) .So guys this marks the end of the interviews I have done this season , so next set of interviews may be next season.

Kinara's Interview

Hello ladies and gentlemen Today we have got a very naughty , lively girl on the Interview section , Let’s hear is what she has to say.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself? your blog , and your aspirations and your hobbies !!

I am this 18 year old, lazy and totally crazy girl you'd love to know :P ,My blog : kshahzworld, talks of every random thing in our lives which we tend to neglect. Life is a short trip and my main focus is to share thoughts and feelings which make this trip beautiful or rather thoughtful, I would say. I
am studying IT engineering right now, my hobbies mainly include sleeping (:P), reading novels, blogs and online
business sabbaticals, listening music....I love keeping myself updated with new fanciful gadgets! (oh, do I really
need to mention blogging in this list? It's one of my favourite hobbies :D).

2. How you first got involved in with blogging?

Well, it was entirely by chance! After completing my board exams last year, I started blogging at a very small
level to share what's all on my mind and honestly, due to boredom. But today, it has one of the greatest impacts in
my life.

3. What do you find most challenging about blogging about your topics?

Blogging is just communicating, for me. Whenever I get that insatiable urge to communicate,to share something : I
just type and post! My works cannot be categorized into some genre, neither do I stick to some specific genre. So
nothing like a challenge but it's just me, rambling continously for people who care to listen :)
I find haiku very challenging though, they are new for me and I love writing them!

4. Tell me about some of the people you have met while working on your blog?

Ah I have been lucky enough to meet some really sweet people :  CD, Abhyudaya, Gopan, Ronaldo, Kirti, Deepak
and the list goes on.. (Haha, of course you too :P )

5. How would (someone) describe your blogging style?

Oh it's quite mysterious to find this one out ! But according to me, its something most of us can easily connect
to.Totally random with my own tinge, is what I would prefer.

6. What do you do when you are not working on your blog?

I have classes to attend and submissions snatch most of my time. Else, when free, I watch tv, surf facebook and
I read every blog present on my dashboard list. (Honestly, you will mostly find me lying on bed with earphones ! :D
This is the best way to understand life, I feel. )

7 .Where do you see yourself blogging wise in the next 6 months, and 5 years down the road?

I see myself blogging the same way like I do now :) Just with much more focus and in a more improvised way!

8. What networking do you do that you feel helps your blogging business?

I am afraid I don't really engage myself in this field. Indiblogger is the only place where I share my posts. I am very careless when it comes to publicizing my blog.

9. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.

When I have something to say, something to communicate, I do it and I only try to find ways to do it in a more interesting way! At times, I just speak because I want to and feel blog-sick when I don't come back often. I don't think people struggle in coming up with new ideas, its just that they might be confused on giving their thoughts a proper form. If you love writing and you have a connection with words, you never get short of ideas:)

10. Whats your strategy with your blog in general, do you plan to blog , or maybe you have some samples ?

Planning is a distant dream for me! I believe in the power of surprises (at least when it comes to blogging) And that adds beauty to it!

11. What would you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?

Content, content and content! Readers or page-views is just a number, which keeps fluctuating. But the satisfaction you get when you complete a long worked-upon post, its sublime. No amount of readers or comments, however high, can give you that feeling! Focus on the content and readers will follow. Needless to say, they'd keep helping you to improve with their comments.

12. Any specific tips you have for newbie bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?

""Love what you do and do what you love"". Relish the beauty of words and do it more often. Have a reason, cherish it with passion and the rest will be history :)

13. Whats the best thing a blogger can give to his readers?

According to me : Inspiration.

14. A lot of people are interested in blogging for the money earning potential. What are some tips for people
interesting in making money from blogging? What are some realistic expectations in regards to what can be made?

I am sorry, but I have no idea about this one.

15. What book would you say has made the biggest impact good or bad on you?
Charles Dickens : Great Expectations. I remember reading this book during my eighth grade and it had a great impact on me, don't know how and why! I find Robert Jordan's "The cycle of Time" very influential too. It gave me an insight of how powerful abstract writing can be.

16. What has been your strategy for creating visibility to yourself and your blog?
Ought to be kidding me! No seriously, I am not a professional blogger. My purpose for blogging is totally different.

17 What was the most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?
None yet. I am waiting for such a milestone, that helps me improve more and more.

18. Five adjectives that describe you.
passionate, crazy, ethical, lazy, sensitive. (Looks like they contradict ! :P But, then, that's me! :) )

19. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
I need inspiration to keep me going. The fool, Nishant, Chintan Gupta, Leo are the few ones I keep adoring. They somehow send me positive vibes :)

20. Ever been to another country or state that you liked better then where you currently live?
I love Mumbai ! I have spent almost my every summer vacation there and I feel, this city has its own charm which keeps attracting me! But at the end of day, it’s my hometown, Ahmadabad where I would find peace.

21. your connection with Indi and the experience ?
It's been wonderful. I met some really nice people, learnt a lot and over all, indiblogger manages to increase the readers at a good rate. Also, the contests and forums keep up the momentum !
The secret to all the page-views track back to indi, thanks to indiblogger.

22. Which genre do you feel gets the raw deal?
I think humor and political analysis get that deal very often.

23.Which one plug-in would you suggest all bloggers to have?
The rss feed and the followers widget.

24. Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why.
Lol, how do you ask a mother who's her favorite or least liked child ? :P

25. What motivates you most in life ?
Books, music and technology. My parents and a few friends are always there to keep me going when I'm doomed.

26.Words for me/my blog .?
I like the title of your blog VERY MUCH. It has a meaningful message and its remarkable. You get innovative ideas and I like the way you put them through. It's always fun reading your posts, though I might seldom comment. I loved your "My Daddy Strongest" post, the most ! My hearty wishes to you, keep blogging..God Bless you :)
[ P.S : I also think you are a little funny because interviewing a weird girl like me is the last thing a blogger would do :P ] No honestly, Thanks a lot for giving me this opportunity and for this kind of exposure on your blog.
